SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Thousands of San Diegans participated in the JDRF Walk for a cure in Balboa Park Saturday.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation supports efforts to find a cure for Type 1 juvenile diabetes.
Each of the estimated 4,000 to 6,000 walkers taking part in Saturday's event helped raise money to fund local research. News 8's own Carlo Cecchetto emceed the event.
Organizers estimate more than $700,000 was raised.
