Three men hurt in bowling alley brawl

Two men were stabbed and a third was slugged with a baseball bat in a parking lot melee at bowling alley in Kearny Mesa Saturday morning, a police sergeant said.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two men were stabbed and a third was slugged with a baseball bat in a parking lot melee at bowling alley in Kearny Mesa Saturday morning, a police sergeant said.

The fight at the Kearny Mesa Bowl parking lot at 7585 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard was reported at 1 a.m., according to San Diego police Sgt. David
Jennings.

Two people were stabbed and one person was clubbed with a baseball bat during the fight, Jennings said. Most of the combatants were gone when officers arrived. The few who stayed gave few details about what happened.

The victims were treated at a hospital and released. Their injuries were not life-threatening, Jennings said.

An hour after the fight, police were called to 5200 Aberdeen St. in North Clairemont where the stabbing victims finally agreed to talk to police about the melee.

No details of what started the fight were released.

The brawl remained under investigation by police.
