SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) — He's an Emmy award-winning and Oscar-nominated actor, director, writer and teacher.
Now William H. Macy is sitting in the director's seat for a brand-new comedy called "The Layover."
Macy spoke to Morning Extra via satellite about his new project.
"The Layover" is a comedy starring Alexandra Daddario and Kate Upton as best friends whose plane is rerouted due to a hurricane warning.
Unexpectedly, the pair find themselves on an extended layover in St. Louis competing for the same guy, played by Matt Barr.
The film also features Matt Jones, Molly Shannon, Kal Penn, and Rob Corddry.
"The Layover" can currently be seen now on DIRECTV and will be in theaters on Sept. 1.
