CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A woman in a vehicle leaving a Dixie Chicks concert was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Chula Vista, where authorities believe the motorist had been driving drunk.
The motorist, who was arrested on various charges, was going westbound in the 4000 block of Main Street, where she drove onto a residential property and struck a concrete block. The impact caused her vehicle to roll over, the Chula Vista Police Department reported.
The passenger, suffering from a head injury, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police were dispatched to the location at 11:50 p.m. Friday, where they discovered the two women had just left a Dixie Chicks concert at the Sleep Train Amphitheater, 2050 Entertainment Circle.
The driver was transported to an area hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
