Meet Caston, who is a Caracal cat at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Caracal cats are native to Africa and live in various habitats throughout the continent. What makes them unique are their tassel like ears, which help them hunt. A Caracal cat mainly hunts off of birds and can take down a dozen birds at a time with his huge paws.

He is fed one pound a day, which allows him to be quite powerful. Caston is able to jump up to 12 feet in the air to reach a flock of birds.

Global Tiger Day is July 29th, which is a worldwide event dedicated to bring awareness to tiger conservation.

Come celebrate the park's Summer Safari, happening now until August 14.
