Padres NLDS watch party | How to watch the series at Petco Park

The Padres are opening up Gallagher Square for the away games during the NLDS so fans can watch the game on the big screen.

SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Padres will open Gallagher Square for fans to watch the away games during the NLDS.

What you should know

  • On Saturday, Sunday and if needed, Friday, October 11, fans can watch the game on a 75-foot wide video board on Sycuan Stage.
  • Gates will open an hour before the first pitch which is at 5:38 pm tomorrow and 5:08 pm on Sunday.
  • This is a family event as well so bring the kids and enjoy the new playground and other events. Only service digs are permitted, the dog park is closed. 
  • Paid concessions will be open for some of the best-known food in MLB stadiums.
  • The Padres team store will also be open where fans can get their post season swag.
  • You can buy tickets exclusively on the Padres watch party website.

CBS 8 bumped into fans today, one had had an office view of Petco Park and already bought tickets for the watch party.

“When I watch for my office, which is right there, I also got the tickets for the Park at the Park [formerly Gallagher Square] so if things are going good, I can go over there and cheer with my friends,” said Matt Herron.

Other fans who traveled from Seattle and Mexico didn’t have plans to watch the game until they heard about the watch party.

“Ohhh I should know that, that's the place to be then,” said Karen Hogle. “Five dollars is cheap.”

Admission is five dollars. Each household can buy up to six tickets.

Tickets are available exclusively on the Padres watch party website. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Padres Foundation.
