Super Bowl or Swiftie Bowl? | How Taylor Swift has impacted the NFL

Taylor Swift's association with the NFL has boosted the league's brand value by over $122 million in just a few months, a new report says.

LAS VEGAS — "I'm going to Google to see if Taylor Swift is at the Chiefs game," San Diegan Brooke Morgan says as she types on her cell phone. "It looks like she's there so we got to watch intently!" she said.

Morgan is a Swiftie. She’s got the Taylor Swift bracelets, popcorn buckets, posters, and magazines to prove it. She’s been to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert four times and even had a Taylor Swift-themed birthday party.

Needless to say, she is ecstatic anytime Swift pops up on the screen during football games now that Swift has been dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.

"Woo! Go Taylor’s boyfriend!" Morgan cheers. "To have Taylor Swift be apart of football makes it all worth while. I really enjoy when cameras pan to Taylor Swift. I don’t need to see a player chewing on his mouth guard. It's more fun for me as a woman seeing her."

She’s not the only one in this fandom who shares the excitement.

Marketwatch reports that Swift's association with the NFL has boosted the league's brand value by over $122 million in just a few months.

Her impact on female viewership is staggering: a 53% increase among those aged 12-17, a 34% rise in those over 35 and 24% in the 18-24 demographic.

USA Today National Sports columnist Nancy Armour agreed.

"Particularly young and teenage girls who didn’t care about football before now watch it," says Armour.

"Recognition for the female audience makes games more fun and relevant. I've definitely watched more football because of this. It's exciting to see her there and cheer for her and for him," said Morgan.

Even former Charger John Carney can’t get away from Swifties.

"My wife and daughter are Swifties. When I retire, next thing I know, she turns on Chiefs games in hopes to see Taylor. She has brought my wife back to football," said Carney.

Excited fans are now calling the SuperBowl: the Swift Bowl.

They are pumped to see the Kansas City Chiefs match up against the San Francisco 49ers.

Swifties are hoping for no "Bad Blood"…are you ready for it?

Swift is performing on stage in Tokyo on Feb. 10, will she make it to Vegas to watch her boyfriend play in the Super Bowl the very next day?

Airlines are even naming flights “1989” after her album! We will see if she "Shakes it Off" and makes the big game.
