First storm of the season brings snow to Mt. Laguna and Palomar Mountain

Thunderstorms could also develop in the mountains, coastal areas and the inland valleys Wednesday afternoon, forecasters said.

SAN DIEGO — The first storm of the season moved into the San Diego area overnight, bringing significant showers along the coastal areas and the inland valleys. The storm also brought snow to Palomar Mountain and Mt. Laguna.

Rain and snow continued Wednesday in San Diego County, according to the National Weather Service. The precipitation is expected to lessen into Thursday.
