CBS 8's Weather School | Nominate your classroom for a visit from a meteorologist

Karlene, Evan, Shawn and Neda will be visiting classrooms around San Diego County to show students what goes into creating a weather forecast!

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif — Have you ever wanted a TV meteorologist to visit your child's classroom to show them what goes into creating a weather forecast? Now is your chance!

CBS 8 wants your San Diego County classroom to be part of our Weather School You can nominate a school or classroom to get a visit from a member of CBS 8's team of meteorologists: Karlene Chavis, Evan Noorani, Shawn Styles, and Neda Iranpour.

Send an email to weather@cbs8.com and let us know if you would like to be part of CBS 8's Weather School.

Make sure to include your name, the school name, and the teacher/school contact information in your email. Our on-air team will be making visits around the county for the 2024-'25 school year. If your school is chosen, expect an hour-long, hands-on experience with a weather expert. Part science, part technology, it's perfect for any class or grade that is focused on STEAM learning.
