Here are local businesses to support this Cinco de Mayo & Taco Tuesday

You can still support small businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, one tasty taco at a time.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. —

There are plenty of local businesses to support this Cinco de Mayo, which also lands on Taco Tuesday. Here are some small businesses with big flavor:

It’s hard to miss the tempting smells when you walk by Carnitas Uruapan on Spring Street in La Mesa, which is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. 

After being mostly closed for nearly two months, City Tacos reopens this Tuesday at its North Park, La Mesa, Sorrento Valley, and Imperial Beach locations. 

Ponce's Mexican Restaurant in Kensington opens at 4 p.m. on Tuesday for takeout, but you can call and preorder your food. 

Cotijas Taco Shop in Santee is serving up to-go orders until 11 p.m.
