SAN DIEGO — Your chance to shop in person for exclusive San Diego FC merchandise is finally here. San Diego FC has announced the opening of a new official pop-up store in Mission Valley.

Eighteen Threads, San Diego FC’s new retail store opens on Nov. 18 and will be the home of the team’s exclusive, official merchandise.

The 1,900-square-foot store located at 1640 Camino Del Rio North inside the Westfield Mission Valley Mall sits near Snapdragon Stadium, the future home of San Diego FC.

The name Eighteen Threads was inspired by the 18 cities in San Diego County weaved together. The store name is also inspired by the design of the team’s new logo and crest that features the Eighteen Threads, which were unveiled in Oct. during a ceremony at Snapdragon Stadium.

"We are excited to bring Eighteen Threads to Mission Valley Mall and quickly create a space for our fans to get their favorite gear for the Holidays," said Tom Penn, San Diego FC CEO.  "We were thrilled by the overwhelming interest in our merchandise at our brand launch and look forward to engaging with our fans and supporters in this central location."

During the brand reveal in Oct., fans set a Major League Soccer record for fan merchandise sales at a single event.

According to San Diego FC, the club was forced to shut down its online store shortly after it launched due to overwhelming demand.

The team said Eighteen Threads plans to bring its merch on the road, with the launch of a mobile retail experience that will serve communities across San Diego County.
